Christian Matthies serves as Executive Director for Linde’s Middle East & Turkey Cluster, overseeing strategy and operations across six countries. Based in Dubai, he leads a team of more than 700 employees across the region. An engineer by profession, he draws on nearly two decades of international experience to drive Linde’s regional growth, operational excellence, and sustainability agenda.

Prior to joining Linde, Christian held key international roles across engineering, construction, and consulting with McKinsey & Company, where he advised leading industrial clients on strategy and performance transformation.
is an Industrial Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Valencia and holds an MBA from INSEAD. He speaks English, Spanish, and German, and is deeply committed to safety, compliance, and sustainable growth across the Middle East and Turkey region.
