Dr Faye Alhersh is the Associate Director of Green Hydrogen Development UAE for Masdar, one of the world’s fastest-growing renewable energy companies.

Dr Alhersh is responsible for driving and managing the company’s commercial green hydrogen projects and initiatives, and represents Masdar in various local and international forums, steering committees and working groups focused on green hydrogen and its derivatives. Through her tenure she has played a pivotal role in the development of the UAE National Hydrogen Strategy, the UAE General Policy for Sustainable Aviation Fuel, and the Abu Dhabi Low-Carbon Hydrogen Policy.

Prior to her current position, Dr Alhersh was a technology specialist within Masdar’s Strategy and Corporate Development division under the Office of the CEO, where she co-led the planning and development of Masdar’s green hydrogen strategy. 

Dr Alhersh has a PhD in Photo-electrochemical Hydrogen Production and a Master’s degree in Sustainable Energy Futures from Imperial College London. She also has a Bachelor’s degree in Sustainable Energy Engineering from Queen Mary University in London.
