James is the Senior Vice President, Sub-Saharan Africa at Thyssenkrupp Uhde, where he is responsible for Business Development & Growth, Customer and Partner Engagement, Government Affairs, Infrastructure & Governance as well as People within the region of Sub-Saharan Africa. He will ensure Uhde’s strategic direction remains closely aligned with market dynamics and evolving customer expectations.

Previously, James founded the Namibia Green Hydrogen Programme (NGH2P) and served as the Economic Advisor to the third President of Namibia. James played a pivotal role in unlocking concessional blended financing capital, which facilitated the construction of strategically important regional assets. These assets provide a solid foundation for the forthcoming wave of low-carbon manufacturing in Namibia.

James holds an Executive Certificate in Economic Development from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) holder.
