Sacit Akbaş graduated from Boğaziçi University’s Civil Engineering department in 2002 and went to the United States same year for his postgraduate studies. After completing his master’s degree in soil mechanics at Louisiana State University, he began working as a geotechnical expert at the international consulting company Camp Dresser & McKee’s Raleigh, North Carolina office in 2004. He continued working at the same firm as a senior project manager after obtaining his Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in 2008.

In 2012, Mr. Akbaş returned to Türkiye to work as a senior project manager at the Istanbul office of Fichtner GmbH & Co. KG, Germany’s largest independent consulting company. He held positions as renewable energy director, sales director, and country manager at this firm before joining Enerjisa Energy as Director of Energy Solutions in 2023. Sacit Akbaş, who managed the teams responsible for business development, analysis, installation, and operation processes of all renewable energy and energy efficiency projects implemented within Enerjisa Enerji, started his new role as CEO of Call Energy in May 2025, a 100% subsidiary of YEO Technology investing in renewable energy projects both domestically and internationally.

Mr. Akbaş, who also holds an MBA degree from Bahçeşehir University, is married and has one daughter.
