Turkish Wind Energy Association (TÜREB) was established by the Council of Ministers’ Decree No. 92/2752 dated 10 February 1992, with the aim of monitoring scientific, technical, and applied research related to wind energy, promoting the widespread use of wind energy resources, and contributing to the integration of Türkiye’s wind potential into the national economy.
As the umbrella organization of the wind energy sector in Türkiye, TÜREB covers the entire wind energy value chain and actively participates in all relevant legislative and regulatory processes concerning the sector.
TÜREB works in close coordination with the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEİAŞ), the General Directorate of Energy Affairs (EİGM), the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK), and the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Türkiye.
A member of WindEurope and the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC), TÜREB is the most influential non-governmental organization in the field of wind energy in Türkiye.
